On May 30, GNF celebrated its 20-year anniversary. In recognition of these accomplishments, GNF has been presented awards highlighting contributions that have been made to both the scientific and local communities. County supervisor Kristin Gaspar declared it “GNF Day” while thanking Institute Director Jerry Joyce for his efforts to make GNF an innovator in the San Diego biotech community.
County supervisor Kristin Gaspar’s thoughtful and funny presentation was a highlight of the day.
A representative, Stephen Hill, from Assemblyman Todd Gloria’s office also attended to present a joint resolution on behalf of the Assemblyman and Senator Toni Atkins. This resolution recognized the many contributions GNF has made in areas of science, sustainability and economy but most importantly, innovation to improve patient’s lives.
